Tools to Help Schools Meet Their Federal and State Requirements at the NASFAA Conference
Outside of employing a person solely dedicated to reading and interpreting everything the government publishes, how can the typical professional manage the herculean task of always staying in compliance? Attend this session at NASFAA's National Conference and learn about some exciting tools to help aid administrators do the job. Learn from several financial aid veterans about new and existing regulations and the many tools available to aid administrators to help them stay compliant.
Sessions to help aid administrators with compliance include:
- HEOA: Don't Let HEOA Regulatory Changes Slip Under Your Radar: This session is designed to help colleagues
from any size campus learn how to implement a system in their office to insure federal student aid regulatory compliance. Learn how SharePoint technology and other methods are being used to monitor the HEOA provisions. Specific Title IV HEOA provisions (except for consumer disclosures) will be used as examples in this presentation.
- Am I in Compliance? Tools to Help Schools: This session is designed to educate aid administrators about different available resources to make sure their institution meets all federal and state compliance issues. Outside of employing a person solely dedicated to reading and interpreting everything the government publishes, how can the typical professional manage this herculean task? Attend this session and learn about some exciting options that exist for our use.
- Consumer Information: This session will provide an overview of the new consumer information requirements under the Higher Education Opportunity Act and the regulations that became effective on July 1, 2010, covering topics such as campus safety, peer-to-peer file sharing, and educational outcomes.
